Richard John ALLEN and Matilda Hay BROWN

Richard and Matilda were both born abt 1821 in Gloucester. They were married in St Mary's Chapel, Gloucester on 8th December 1842 "according to the rites and ceremonies of the Huntingdon Connection" - a branch of Methodism in the mid-19th Century. Matilda's father, Samuel Hay Brown, was a muscician.

Their daughter, Mary Ann, married Frederick John Gosling.
